WolfKitty's 1965 Chevrolet Corvair

Update! Didn't find the thumbdrive, but luckily I did put the pics on another computer before the drive got lost. So without further ado, let's illustrate the old man, ne?

Carbs are currently off, as one was totally clogged and not feeding the engine at all. Yeah, it chugged along at an exciting 30mph when I had to move it. Other than that and your standard spark plug/wire changes, oil, etc, the engine is pretty much peachy for its age.

Rust hole by battery. :(

Line of rust on pass. wheel well. WolfKitty's 1965 Chevrolet Corvair

Body-wise isn't too bad either. There are a few spots where the rust has eaten through the sheet metal entirely, so those will need to be cut out and new steel welded in, but otherwise the body is solid.

WolfKitty's 1965 Chevrolet Corvair <-- Yay! Roof in back seat!

New convertible roof is in order, but I have that and am just waiting for a nice, warm day (HA! It's nearly December in the Midwest.... Right. Warm. Yeah.) to get that installed.

The interior is in decent shape. The vinyl seats are still good with just the occasional rip or minor discoloration.

The carpet is worn through to the floorpan under the pedals, but again, to be expected. The dash and steering wheel are chipping/fading a bit, but otherwise, that's about all that needs to be fixed. Oh, and the electrical guts hanging down under the dash, and the fact that it needs new paint (there's black rust-to-primer spray paint all over the exterior, over the original light blue).

A little bit of time and money, and this beauty will be cruising again. :-D

DO NOT install top in the cold....TRUST me..its a bear to stretch. My guy had to use a HEAT gun to thaw it and make it supple and flexible..and that was in OCTOBER in NC..Install above 50deg
