1998 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA "WOLFSBURG EDITION"

PLEASE AT LEAST RATE MY PAGE EVEN IF YOU DON'T LEAVE A COMMENT - THANKS!

As of 7/1/08, this has been SOLD, but as of 8/09 I was given the opportunity to buy it back in pretty much the same condition I sold it, sans running engine. Keep checking back for updates. In the meantime, please enjoy what I've done to it since I first got it.

Boostd_Rex's 1998 Volkswagen Jetta

8/07

I admit, I came from a past of owning Hondas and Toyotas. Japanese cars have always been very reliable to me. The last Honda I owned was a turbocharged 1990 Honda CR-X, and in June of 2006, I sold it to buy a bike, a 1998 Honda CBR600F3. After having just one car, my slightly modded '80 Toyota Tercel (my 1st car I ever bought myself about 13 years ago, and yes, I still have it) and the bike, I traded the bike for another Honda in June of 2007, thinking I would get back into Honda cars just for what I assume was only a little bit only because it was a deal I couldn't pass up. It was a very clean 1993 Honda Civic CX hatchback with a JDM H22A swap, LSD tranny and full GSR leather interior in trade for my CBR. But as I started working on it (it needed a bit of engine work, nothing too major), I decided to drift away from Hondas AGAIN, and trade it off for something different. That's when someone offered to trade my Civic hatchback for a 1998 Civic EX coupe, or this 1998 VW Jetta. Now, having had NO experience AT ALL with Volkswagens, I figured, "Aw heck, why not give it a try". So, here it is as it sits, with a few things added (indicated by (ADDED)), and more for me to add if I decide to keep it for longer than I anticipate. I have learned a lot thanks to the expertise and know-how of Dubbers in the area and the combined knowledge of people on the VW Vortex discussion forum. Each page will show a bit of aesthetic progress pictures as I continue with modifying in various ways from the way it was when I aquired it. While most may not like certain things I may have done/not done, I am doing it to my own taste, a little at a time, while perhaps gaining a little bit of insight from other Dubbers either by slight personal opinions or just by observation alone.
