Hello everyone,
thought I might quickly upload a few pics of the new girl in my life (don't tell Caley :-)
I know she is a dirty girl, not cleaned and all...

6th October 2007
Well, clean up has started! The MX-5 is pretty dirty, took quite a bit of vacuuming, blood, sweat and tears, oh and heaps of polish... and I am not ready yet.
Here's a few photo's of the cleaning process.
Certainly under the bonnet you can tell the car's mileage.
dirty left, clean right :-)

And the battery issue, there was a cheap low quality battery put in the boot and it started to make rust appear in 1 or 2 spots. Brushed and sanded the rust back to bare metal and then started the process of refinishing the paint. Choose for a Hammerite red paint for durability. And finally located the right battery, ie the Panasonic AGM, purchased from the Mazda dealership *shock horror! I know* Cost me about the same as an acid-type good quality unit. Happy days! Check out the acid spills on the old sucker...
and repainting the battery brackets with CRC Zinc Spray

BTW this is me, The Naked Chef Kiwi-style :-)
PS for the ladies, this is all you get HAHAHAHAHA!
