TURBO
After sitting round and plotting some compressor maps the perfect sized turbo for the job was a Garrett GT3076R.
The engine will be reving out to over 8,000 revs and hopefully will really get up and go once it eventually hits boost.

With the turbo removed it was easy to see the restriction that the small T2 was causing. One of the blades on the T2 was nearly fractured completly through, I suspected this as the car was making a strange whistling noise when it was coming on boost. Obviously 12 psi is too much for this little turbo to take for sustained periods.
With the turbo's side by side it is clear to see the difference in size. The new turbo is about 4 times the size of the T2, this makes sense considering the aim is about 4 times the stock power.

WASTEGATE
Waste gate for the application is a 44mm knock off waste gate. I was going to get a Tial, but it seemed a lot of money to outset for what seems a pretty simple valve design. I went with the 44 mm as once on boost it should be using most of the exhaust gas to power the turbo, however as it will also be street driven sometimes the boost needs to be able to be set at a much lower level. Say 18 psi as opposed to 30psi for drag use.
