Effects and Neons

LED’s
I replaced all he stock bulbs in all the instrument units with LED replacement Bulbs. Unfortunately that means that you have to remove the whole dash along with all the instrument clusters. You then have to remove all the bulbs, and change them with the replacement LED’s. LED’s generally don’t just blow, they use less power and produce more light than regular bulbs, my instruments now have a great white glow.
I have also replaced all the dome lamps with replacement bulbs available at superbightleds.com
Neons
All my neons have been purchased locally, I installed them my self using all the hardware which came in the box, the installation only took about 20minutes and unfortunately I don’t have any photos of the installation.
Gun metal Chrome on Stainless Steel, Hinges and hood set.
When you replace your hinges make sure that you have an extra hand available, doors are heavy and awkward to work with. Remove and replace one part at a time. Remove one part, clean the location, apply silicone sealant and tighten the bolts until they are finger tight. When all the parts have been installed this way on the one door, align it with the help of another person; once they are aligned torque the bolts.
All the stainless steel chromed parts which I have replaced came from quadratec.com.
Stainless Steel Door Step Guards
I bought these step guards on the local market for about $25, they fix the ugly faded look of the steps. They are simple to install, you only have clean the surface of the step using alcohol, remove the sticker on the double sided tape and stick them on.
Stainless Steel Hood Lift
I decided to build these the day the wind blew the hood of the hood strut and it flew into the windshield. I went to a boat shop and bought stainless steel gas-struts; I bought some stainless steel from a local hardware store, and started putting it together. Making it took me about 5 hours installation took another 30 minutes.
Stainless Steel Grille
In Qatar it quite often gets above 50°C, this means your AC will not function on idle. So I installed an ACDelco fan, part number XXXXXXXXXX. Unfortunately the fan looks hideous so I went to a local hardware shop and got a stainless steel mesh. I cut up the stainless steel, and cut a hole for the hood release and covered the hole with the same material used as door guards.
Sorry, this part of my page is still under construction, please be patient
