My 1959 Willys wagon. I bought the wagon from a guy in Oregon pretty much sight unseen. I flew to Portlan Oregon spent the night in a hotel. Hopped on a bus the next morning to Selem Oregon and was picked up by the seller. I gave the wagon a good once over asked a few questions signed the paperwork and was on the road that afternoon headed for CA. A thousand miles later and I had my new purchase home.
It had an older restoration and looked pretty solid. The wagon was equipped with a Chevy SB 305, saginaw three speed, and the stock drivetrain with a spring over suspension with really saggy springs and 32" tires on aluminum hurricane rims. It has PS, PB, AC, tilt column, CD player, stock seats, and a CJ wiper motor. I planned on boxing the frame and adding waggy springs up front and Ford F-150 springs in the rear.
I'm now working on stretching a 2000 TJ chassis for my wagon to sit on. I have a 388ci stroked Chevy SB, 700R4 trans, 203/205 doubler t-case, custom D60 axles front and rear. I plan on installing a 6" long arm suspension lift and 37" tires.
Collecting parts and preparing for the build.
More to come.
