I always wanted to learn stick but its really hard to learn when your afraid to destroy a loved ones car.

I found this beast for $300 and finally learned to drive stick =)

It took a beating while I was learning and the thing still runs. This car has charm. I would never think that I would love a car with 55 Horsepower. This thing takes 3 minutes to hit 60 mph but I love this car and I really dont think I can ever get rid of it.

Im planning on cleaning it up a bit. Even though it was cheap and in ragged condition I think it deserves another chance to be on the road just a bit longer.

Every Car should have a mission in life and my mission with this car is to hit a consistent 40 MPG.

I know this thing hit it when it was new but the challenge is getting a 14 year old car with an unknown history to hit 40 MPG regularly.

So far I added new wires, plugs and distributor cap.

I also removed
the passenger seat
radio
trim around the radio
Spare tire
jack
spare tire/jack cover
door handles
speakers
a good amount of the dash board
sunvisors
some of the plastic trim in the back
Glove box door
Glove box housing
passenger side mirror
Both Cooling fans
Door Side molding
Air Filter Housing/tubing
Sound insulation
Hatch Struts
Passenger side seat belt retainer.seat belt brackets/seatbelt
and a bunch of bolts.

All in all I've taken off about 105 pounds and added about 10 with stickers, emblems, seat cover, cup holders, fog lights, tach and all the wiring that goes with it so about 95 pounds or so in weight reduction
Various items removed

A lot of people hate on the Metro but my dog loves hanging out in it when I'm working on my cars =)

I recently improved the hood dent using the ding king, added fog lights and tinted the turn signals.

Tinted corners

Running just the filter with no housing at all. Added a bigger coolant reserve tank too.

Had some spare tint spray so I tinted the rear lights. The GT-R emblem adds 70 mental horsepower. =P

I recently hit my first 40 MPG fill up and hope to hit many more to bring my average up.

The Geo Metro is making a comeback!

ah nice corner light tinting. looks great! Now it needs a fresh coat of paint and it will look like you've spent hundreds. So far its gotten a big improvement since the first pics posted.
