..A new school cool with an old school rule..
This is my 1994 Mustang GT 'vert 5 speed. Its laser red with a black and white interior and a black top. 1994 was the first year of the new sn95 body style (94-04) and the second-last year ford put the good old 5.0 V8 in the stang.

History:
The cars got only 105,000 kms on the clock (about 65,000 miles) Im the third owner of the car. The first got a lease on the car in 1994 and bought out the lease when it expired. He used the car as a summer car for quite a few years, then sold it to the second owner. The second owner owned it for only a year, then was forced to sell because he needed a family car. The wheels were on the car before I bought it and are Akuza Road Concepts, they aren't my first choice, but they do the trick. I'd like a set of '03 cobras for it.

Mods and Plans:
I'm on a university student's budget, and have planned pretty extensively for the most bang for the buck. For exhaust, I have a set of flowmaster 40's on 2.5" stainless tailpipes, these came on the car. My first mod was a used off road H pipe, cost me $60 on craigslist and I gave it a nice coat of high-temp paint, it makes sweet music with the flowmasters and you can feel the difference in pickup. I have yet to replace the headers. On the intake side, Ive got a K&N filter to get it breathing better. I've got Ford Racing 3.73s out back which I highly recommend, pulls like a raped ape. For the stereo, I've got the stock Mach 460 speakers with a Pioneer CD/MP3 head unit, and 2 kicker 12" subs that I got a deal on, they are waiting for me to install them!
Next on the list for this summer are some subframe connecters to improve the handling and rigity, definately worth the money for the 'vert. Underdrive pulleys are next to free up 10 ponies or so, thats about it on the bolt-ons as I want to start saving to get into the good stuff. To get the power up, I plan to clean up a set of GT40p heads off an explorer and replace the stock E7s, plus some GT40p specific shorty headers. The heads will be mated to a cobra intake manifold, or perhaps an explorer GT40 with an sn95 elbow. I will retain the stock cam for good driveability, torque, gas mileage, and emissions for now. To accompany the heads and intake combo, I will go with a wet nitrous system for some added kick. I plan to run a basic NX 100 shot, and then some add on goodies like a wide open throttle switch, an rpm window switch, an automatic bottle heater, and a purge system which I plan to route through the vents in my hood. I'll finish off with some drivetrain improvements, a pro 5.0 short throw shifter for some fun gear banging, aluminum driveshaft for smoothness and rotational mass reduction, and '03 cobra wheels... they are my favourite =)

Whats in store for the stang down the road?:
I plan to keep my 5.0 for a long time, and once I get out of university for some afr 165 or 185 heads to replace the GT40s, port the cobra manifold, and add an FTI custom cam, should net about 310 hp at the wheels, or 350 at the flywheel. Once the kilometers get up, a 331 or 347 stroker bottom end is in order, or perhaps a forged 306 with a kenne bell. I would like to concentrate on a streetable setup, and will also look into weight reduction and improving suspension components for a well rounded car, shocks, struts and lowering springs (perhaps some Maximum Motorsports parts). For now, Ill be living it up, modding what I can afford and keeping gas in the tank. Long live the 5.0 ;)
