So I just got my hands on an EJ22 motor out of a '94 Legacy... Now sitting on the engine stand in my garage in the process of being torn down for re-sealing and new gaskets before installing in the Brat.
Thanks to Justin and the crew at www.diyautotune.com the "HyperBRAT" is in development. I'm about 1/3 of the way through assembling a Megasquirt stand alone ECU for the car. Fully tunable, open source...
It's been a hell of a learning experience for sure!!
After much deliberation the BRAT is now parked in the garage for restoration work. I'm currently driving a 2000 2.5RS which is night and day difference from the BRAT. 5spd, AWD, 165 HP at the crank... Gotta get some cash so I can do some mild suspension and intake mods.
Still undecided on if the 2.2L is going in the BRAT or if I'll leave her as a stocker 1.8L
