OK, so it was fun to mod this thing, The fact is it just was not me.  Too many problems. so it also has been SOLD!!!

Ok, so its not performance.

I wanted something different. At first we went to the dealer for a charger. New lifetime powertrain and all. But then as I'm looking around I see all of the cool features in some of the other cars. My lovely wife asks why should I stick with the same basic car I had for the last 3 years. I love the Magnum and all I'm glad I had it but maybe it was time for something else. Enter the Nitro.

Black in Florida might be a mistake but it really looks good when it is clean. I will get some pics of it when it is clean but these will have to do for now.

11/3/07 - Installed custom brackets and gas charged shocks to hold my hood up. No more prop rod for me. I actually got the idea from looking online and seeing some of the pictures of the Dodge assembly plant. They use these gas shocks in production but then remove them when it is time for prime time. WTF!!

Why is it better for them to put a prop rod than gas struts? Cheaper???? I would pay the extra $50 to have them, in fact I did and more because I don't like the angle that the originals were at. It made the hood flex a bit when you closed it. So I made a stronger and longer bracket with a couple of options for the mount. The top hole in fact is closer to the correct angle but it completely compresses the strut and I don't like to do that, so I use the second hole for now and all is fine.

As you can see, it even lets the hood open much more than before. I will NOT hit my head again. Yippie!!

nice ride! I wanted an R/T but when I went to test drive mine the dealership didn't have one. My wife had to have it after we drove it. Now I put the big wheels on it and she won't drive it... she's scared of hitting a pot hole. I didn't think it was a good trade for a truck but it has grown on me. It's definetly "something different", and that's why I love it. ~check mine out~ http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2924804
