In early 2006 having had little success in finding a Checker to bring to England, a search on a Dutch for sale list (bit like craigs list) we found a genuine ex NY cab for sale.
Having served only 3 years in NY it was brought to Holland and had quite an easy life as a promo vehicle for a clothing store chain.
After a few emails back & forth we took a flight to Amsterdam and made the purchase and then drove the Checker home.
Though the outside was presentable the inside was a little neglected and has been retrimmed.
As we planned to hire out the Checker we made some updates to the interior, this included a Checker headlining and 10" headrest monitors for passengers to watch a film.
The Checker has been very popular for Wedding hire and gets an amazing reaction where ever it goes.
Being so unusual but still instantly recognisable we get enquiry's for photo shoots and other promo work.

and Curtis Granderson
