check out the coolest car in the world.
its huge, its loud, its heavy, its fast, its a headturner, its beautifull, its driving supper smooth and has a big V8.
loaded with all kind of luxury but pulling hard.
yes,,it is the 1971 buick riviera.
we call it,
the boattail.

many moviemakers used a boattail in there movies, there is a list to find on the internet.bruce willis, nicholas cage, clint eastwood and many more drove a boattail(or there stuntdrivers)

i have not seen a car yet that has that special combinations, the style , the sporty feeling and position on the wheel, the dimentions, the luxury feeling , the smouth contact with the road ,even on a bad road and the incredeble force of the engine that keeps on pulling at highways.
if you drive it to a far destination, you dont get tired, you are wondered you are allready there.
it looks like a lowrider without lowering the springs.
once you have this one , it would be hard to sell it or replace it with an other gm car.
for me and many others, the boattail is the only one.
there can be only one!

this first page shows my car with the stock wheels, so check out all the pages.

if you chop the roof you ruin this beautiful line, the sidevieuw is one of my favorites, but you need plenty of room to see that.

this huge heavy coupé is a verry fast car, it can burn rubber and make donuts,,,if you have plenty of space.

this car is so special, so different in style from other cars that it is verry difficult to change the looks without doing damage to that beautiful "luxury style look" . some put huge 22 inch wheels on it, it looks awfull, some try to lower it, some do a top chop,,,this car does not need any of that,,it is allready a verry special shaped car and it looks the best when original. the only vissible upgrade that most people like are wider rims and tires.
also the collor of the paint can make a huge difference. red grey black yellow green all so different.i dont like most modern/special collors or fancy glitters.

i love the car from all angles, but i prefer the back view and the sideview from a distance . it looks like a tintin rocket cut in half.
its a pure seventies timemachine. we hope to save it for the future.these are one of the last of the dinosaur cars that are worth saving for our childrens children.
so take care for them.

check out the next picture-page with wide rims and tires!!!!

wow, this sure brings back old memories. Me and a buddy picked up a 71 riviera a few years ago. an was i ever impressed with it, i never thought that a car that is 38yrs old would have power windows, power seats, power everthing, it was so far a head of its time, But we didnt have room for it, this thing is a boat. so we got the big block 455 running and then sold it. LOL, glade to see someone keeping this classy classic alive.
