The interior ...
This is how the cab looks like in the inside. You can see the MOMO pedals, MOMO shift knob, MSD shift (@5600 RPM) light and Autometer tach.
Here is a pic of the passenger view of the cockpit. You can see the MOMO seatbelt covers, they are red with a yellow logo, they look cool.
I have mounted the Ford Explorer overhead console, also a self-dimming mirror, that's a sweet thing to have!.
This are the stock fabric seats before I got the leather ones.
My seats were custom made at a leather shop, they replaced the cloth on the seats with black leather, and added some padding in certain areas so they look racing style. They look bad!
I had the steering wheel covered with black leather too.
This is a close up from the old MOMO pedals.
This is a close up from the new MOMO pedals. I replaced the old ones because they were made of a think sheet of aluminum covering a plastic body, the aluminum plate on the lcutch worn out and broke, this ones are solid aluminum. I hope they last longer.
I also have the MOMO mats.
This is the center console. On the top left is the foglight switch (they light up green at night). The red switch is from the nitrous. the headunit is from Alpine.
I installed power locks and windows. The switches are from a Ford Explorer and they light up green at night.
This gauges are from the Rancho suspension control, they light up green at night too. More on this in the suspension page.
I got all the gauges as close as possible to the stock ones (black with white letters), I had to change the lightning for some of them so they would light up green at night and dim with the rest of the lights.
The sound system consists of an Alpine CD headunit, 2 coustic amps (located under the middle seat), 2 Pioneer truckriders enclosures with 10" subwoofers and 2 JBL GTO speakers on the doors for better sound fidelity, it has a great fidelity and sounds pretty loud, the subs won't pop up the windows but the beat is hard enough to massage your back, hahaha.
I just upgraded the head unit for a better one (Alpine 7805) and the small coustic amp was upgraded too. It sounds better now!.
Here you can see the 2 amplifier setup, noise filter and the Pioneer enclosures.
I have ordered a Dymnamat extreme door kit to get rid of the exterior noise.
This is how the doors are insulated from the factory, just a piece of thin plastic.
This is the same door with the dynamat extreme.
An overview of both doors.
I must say that the cab is now very quiet while cruising, it's definetly worth the investment but it added easily about 10-20lb of weight.
This is the latest adition to my sound system. I replaced the Coustic Power Logic amp from the rear enclosures for a newer and more powerful model (240W RMS @1 ohm, mono), now the enclosures are better matched this amp delivers 60W RMS per channel, and the enclosures are rated 70W RMS each. This amp also has additional features like remote bass boost control, frequency cut for low and high pass (I use it as all pass anyway, hahaha). The sound quality on my setup increased considerably.
I intend to use the old amp on my Jetta, on a mono setup to power a 10" sub for the trunk.
