PAGE 2: ORIGINAL CAR BEFORE RESTORATION

1929modela's 1964 Ford Mustang

This is a picture of the car when we originally bought it, a year ago. The car is originally red with a 289 v8 holley 4 barrel in it and a c4 automatic. An Edelbrock high rise manifold was later installed for a little more umph. It has red interior with the deluxe console and dash. It has had 2 owners before us, and thats how the nasty detailing got on the sides of the car along with the bored out pistons (.030 over). After a little research, we also found out that this was actually the 201st mustang ever made. It had minor rust on it when we bought it, but needed work both inside and out. This started the restoration.

This is a picture of the back end of the car. Both bumpers were in mint condition, and all the bezels too.

This is a picture of the interior when we bought the car. It's all red, and it has the center console. The interior was in very good shape, but it was faded. We have all new interior sitting in our garage waiting fot the body shop to be done painting the car that will be put on immediately.

This is a picture of the front end of the car as soon as we pulled it in the driveway. The original mustang baby!

This is a picture of the original engine bay. The 289 v8 was perfectly functional, and came with a holley 4 barrel, an edelbrock highrise manifold, and bored pistons (1st owner) and chrome valve covers already, but was still very dirty. We have an engine dressup kit already, but it will probably be the last thing we put on it, after the rims and interior.

This is a picture of the bumper. This picture gives a good view of the original owners "attempt to cover some rust" by putting cheap decals on the lower sides of the car. This also shows the original hubcaps and tires which will be replaced with Cragar SS's and BF Goodrich Radial Tires which i will show in the next page of the site.

Just a nice picture of the oldest, AND the newest mustang (at the time)
