Here are some pictures of the 77 Vega I pickup up spring of 07. Nicknamed the "Vegrant" By racing friend "buddy Lee" because he said it will be hanging around my garage eating $$$$$ for years to Come! LOL

Plans are to add a GT dash. tilt column, and black interior. I am gathering parts for a stroked 4.6 all aluminum Rover/Buick hybrid V-8
I have a Rover 4.6 aluminum block with cross-bolted mains, a Rover 4.6 crank that I plan to have offset ground to 3.4" stroke. 1964 Buick 300 Aluminum heads. Made one year only!
Plans are for around 298 cubic inches and 12-13 to 1 compression running on E-85 with a single 4 bbl and a single plane manifold. I have a 200R4 trans and a BTE 10" lockup converter that I plan to install behind it with the aid of an adapter plate. This block shares the older bolt pattern design of the Buick/Olds 215
Im finding the US dollar isnt converting to British sterling very well so the parts gathering aspect of this project may take a few years.

The cylinder liners finally arrived safely from England.. AGAIN!
Apparently the US postal service got them to my door once... then sent them back to England after the ONE attempt to deliver them!
I made sure that they were sent UPS the second time around.
The later cross-bolted Rover blocks with the larger bore had problems with the factory slip fit liners "slipping " down the bore when the engines got hot. The high temp themostat required by US emissions didnt help. The flanged, or "top hat" liner is the strongest repair.
