Another one I couldn't pass up. I got this one without a motor or trans. It was originally a 4cyl/4sp car but I have a spare 302/C4 that will be going in.

Interior not too bad.

Welding up some fabricated mounts

The engine/trans are in... But it's not right. I'm not the best fabricator and the motor mounts I built are all wrong. If anyone has some V8 frame mounts for sale, I'm interested!!

OK - It's been a few months (More like a year) and I finally have the engine and trans mounted correctly. All it took was $300 for a Mustang II V8 oil pan and motor mounts. Oh - And a lot of cursing. Currently looking for a set of mounts for the power steering pump. I ended up going through the motor and had the valves ground and cylinders honed out. It was a .030 motor when I got it and the pistons looked great. I basicly did a ring and bearing job on it. Got a killer deal on a new cam, lifter and rocker arm set from Crane. The Edelbrock carb and intake are pieces I had left from a previous project. As soon as I can afford to have the exhaust done I will fire this puppy up and break in the cam. Then it's onto the brakes!
Oh- The fun never ends!

New Flowmasters with dual exhaust. 4/09.

The stance is much better now. I aquired a set of factory Ford slotted aluminum wheels and polished the heck out of them. I used this thing as a daily driver this last summer (2009) and it's a blast. Sounds great and will roast the tires on command. BTW.. The rusty old Buick in the background belongs to the neighbor. It would be a cool car, though..

One thing about buying an old T-top car... They leak. I mean, they REALLY leak. It's nasty. The carpet resembles a color of tan, but it's really mold undernieth. I found all new weatherstripping for the car at Mustangsunlimited.com Now if I could only find the $500 to buy all of it. Meanwhile, it will have to sit under a tarp this winter.
