Drove her last summer on the new trans, and it died around august. Got a good few months of occasional fun driving, but she's sitting in the garage, with a 5 speed trans swap ready for her, except for she's getting sold off without the trans.

SHE LIVES!!!!!!
Got everything buttoned back up last night and fired her up. The only thing we missed was tightening a PS line. Not even a check engine light! She purrs like a kitten. She takes a bit to get started though, but I think that's because the gas in her is 2 years old. I took her to the gas station and put some in, so hopefully that will help, but sometime this week I'll swap the fuel filter and hopefully she's good. Also, I think the Tstat decided to stick open after a few laps around the block, but that's $5 and 5 minutes, so no biggie. Dang, it feels good to have her finished!
This is my 1990 Turbo Grand Prix. I got it (along with a ton of parts) from a friend in a trade for my 94 Jimmy. It cleaned up nicely, and aside from getting the engine running after sitting for 2 years, and replacing the trans, this thing should be back to normal quite soon!

Engine is back in, but I haven't had time to really do much else. I pretty much just need to reconnect everything; wires, hoses, belts, etc. I have a 4 day weekend coming up, so hopefully that'll give me plenty of time to get her back together and maybe be able to enjoy her a little before the move back to Michigan. Most likely just going to tow her back, since she'll have been back together for less than two weeks at that point, so more of a precaution to not get stranded for something I overlooked or wasn't aware of. Besides that, I can stuff her full of my junk that I have to take back! More updates as soon as she's back together.

Haven't updated very much because she sat in the driveway under a cover for most of the winter, but a few weeks ago I finally got around to pulling the engine and tranny out with the help of a friend, and she currently sits in the garage with no engine. The next week or two will basically be me getting some new parts, cleaning all I can, and preparing for reinstalling the engine/tranny. It'll be sometime in april, as I'm moving back to michigan in may, so hopefully by then she'll be back up and running.

Nothing new really, other than the "bad" alternator was my stupidity, and that it was just left unplugged! So the engine has been proving to be incredibly reliable so far, as the last few times I've started her up/driven her short distances, I've had no SES lights or low coolant lights like I did before. I checked out the spare trans, and it looks like it'll be a good substitute for a while until I go 5 speed, but other than that I just need the time and help to get this other auto in.

She still runs great, but I think the alternator is on the way out. I have a spare, so I'll check that out later this week. Going to check on some prices for shops to do the tranny swap, but hopefully I can do it here given a good free weekend.

Changed the CPS over the weekend, and she purrs like a kitten! Transmission has no first gear, but hopefully next weekend I'll swap it out with one sitting in the garage. She's coming along quite nicely, I must say.
