Second Amp Rack


A pair of EarthQuake PowerHouse D2's aka "Shredders", a PowerHouse 4.3 4ch. amplifier and 2 Optima Redtop Batteries.  Rated at 2000W @2ohm and said to be underrated, but never put out more than 1600W of the nastiest power i had ever heard since i had a Pyramid amp when i was 15yo.  barely 1800W @1ohm and you're lucky to get 2000W @0.5ohm if you don't fry your amp first.  Even at low power, these amps sounded like absolute crap, and the 4 channel kept taking a dump on me.

Third Enclosure

This box was 24ft3 and had a total of 180in2 of port tuned to 29Hz/ MAX SPL @36Hz
MAX SPL of 154.0db w/2 D2's @36Hz  Not one of the best enclosures.  Had problems with the lngth of the port and proper tuning.

Fourth Enclosure

This box was 6.9ft3 and 75in2 of port per driver tuned to 32hz/ MAX SPL @41hz
MAX SPL of 153.4db w/2 D2's  Tried to replicate the acoustical output of the original enclosure design.

Fifth Enclosure
This box was 13.8ft3 and 150in2 of port tuned to 43hz/ MAX SPL @53hz
MAX SPL of 155.2db w/2 D2's  Was the same enclosure as above, though it was turned up and in the cabin of the truck behind the seats.  I shortened the port length to raise the peak frequency.

Sixth Enxlosure
14.25ft3 and 366in2 of port tuned to 60hz/ MAX SPL @71hz
MAX SPL of 156.2db w/2 D2's  Look exactly like the one below just different sized ports.

Seventh Enclosure

This box was 14.25ft3 total and had 344in2 of port tuned to 55hz/ MAX SPL @67hz
MAX SPL of 157.5db/155.7certified w/2 D2's and/or 1 US-2000X 2,000watt amp
Actual Power Output of 2000X 3,660Wrms@4ohm@14.4v

Eighth Enclosure

This box was 36.0ft3 with 784in2 of port tuned to 47hz/ MAX SPL @58hz
MAX SPL of 159.5db certified w/4 US-2000X's@4ohm  There was a design flaw (the step up from the cab to the bed) that i eventually worked out.

Ninth Enclosure
This is the current box, and is 32.0ft3 and has 660in2 of port tuned to 45hz/ MAX SPL @56hz
MAX SPL of 160.2db certified DbDrag w/2 US-2000X's@4ohm (never got all (4) amps running on the 15D2's)
