Finally, I've got it done. After almost a year of struggling to get this car done, I finally have. I no longer work for PrecisionPower, so this car has changed from a PPI demo car to my own title. Plus there was no help from them to get it finished. In the next couple of months you will be able to see it in Car Sound magazine with Diamond Audio Amps and maybe their subs.

The dash houses a Pioneer AVD-W8000 8" 16x9 aspect ratio monitor. As you can see by this picture it's a tight fit. The A/C vents have been re routed to the opening just above the monitor. I thought this was going to kill me in the summer time here in Arizona, but the A/C still works great. Just below the monitor is the opening for the PrecisionPower PAR-245 in-dash preamp line driver. You will notice just below the PAR-245 opening there is a display housing for the remotely mounted ADS EQ-300 digital 1/3 octave EQ. The controls for this piece are mounted in the factory ashtray location.

The audio signal is completely digital to the in-dash preamp. The source unit, a Pioneer XDV-P9 (DVD/CD Changer), runs to the ADS EQ-300 digital 1/3 octave EQ via a custom made MONSTER CABLE Tos-link cable with the end modified to fit a Pioneer proprietary plug. From the ADS EQ-300 the signal is routed through a MONSTER CABLE Digital Coaxial cable to the ADS i-DAT 44 D/A converter, possibly the best D/A made in the past 10 years. Finally through PrecisionLink cabling to the PAR-245 and rest of the system.
