Problems:
Shortly after I first brought her home, I had the fan clutch replaced and the A/C recharged because the A/C wasn't keeping up. About $400 for my mechanic.
Then a few dozen miles later, I heard a squeak coming from the front driver's tire anytime I turned. Took it in to get it looked at, and she needed new u-joints, and upper/lower ball-joints. About $800 for my mechanic.
After approximately seven thousand miles of ownership, I decided to replace the very worn out factory shocks. I picked the Gas-Magnum shocks, as thats what my parts guy at O'Reillys recommended to me. About $300 total (mechanic + parts). Tried to do it myself at first, but front shocks had been in there so long the nuts would not budge without an air wrench.
And last but not least, a month ago I discovered a sudden slight lean to the driver's side. The whole truck was leaning down about 1/2" on that side. The stock leaf springs are five leafs, and after pulling off the driver's side and passenger's and comparing, the driver's side was shot. Flipped them around, still leaning, and the passenger side bounced all over the place when driving. Purchased a used passenger side 4 leaves leaf spring off a 4x2 from a salvage yard, and put it on the passenger side. 1/8" lean front driver side, 1/8" lean rear passenger side. And you can't see it, which is what I was going for. About $250 total; I purchased tools to do the job and it was $65 for the used leaf spring.
I guess thats the chance you take when you are the third owner of a seven year old truck. I still love her.
