OK..here's the deal. I love my car, it's a 1995 Volkswagen Golf GL. Don't laugh, it's not what you think it is. I've got quite a few dollars into this car so far and I have big plans for it for next summer. More on that later...but for now it is a true "work in progress". I haven't spent a whole bunch of money on one part yet...being the most expensive was the $400 Vibrant Catback exhaust system. But all the little bits here and there have added up to a stock looking VW 4-door Golf that will hit 60 in about 6.5seconds...not to bad, oh and it handles real nice too. I bought this car in April of '06 totally stock with 93K on it. The car ran excellent and was to good to just leave stock. All of the work on it has been done by myself, buying all the parts and putting them on was all me. I love this car and wouldnt want anyone to touch it, unless I dont have the tools or the time/patience...i.e. the ACT Clutch, didnt do that change, had it dont professionally. I'll list off all the things done to it and I have all the pics posted and eventually I'll let you know what my big plans are...even tho they are really that big, haha. The engine, stock here execpt for one of the first mods to it, the air filter...

Now...the sound system. This baby is consists of...
-Alpine 9842 head unit
-2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 1's
-A 600 watt Rockford 2-Channel Amp
-And Alpine Type S 6-1/2" Speakers

I put a little neon in there just for show... And please, dont knock it untill you hear it...it's louder than you think...

Ok...before we get to the before and after pics here are some of the smaller things ive done to it so far...

NEUSPEED short throw shif linkage and cut the shifter down and put on a new shift knob.

-that shift boot and knob are gone and replace with APC boot and carbon fiber knob...ill get a pic up asap

Fog lights, inexpensive but effective, plus they give a nice look to the front of the car, and for those of you who havent noticed or are big on VW's, this car doesnt have the stock Golf front end. Instead it has the front end of a MK-3 Jetta...I wasnt a big fan of the headlights and grille on the Golf's but wanted the hatchback, so I had the headlights, grille and bumper switched out.
