This is a daily driven car that is being built as a sound vehicle. More specifically it is being built for overall sound quality. I put much pride into my sound systems and this is no exception. I am on a very limited budget trying to finish off my degree and then moving to Florida. Sound is my passion and I do not mind the money and effort I put into it. It's well worth it in my ears.

I'm currently collecting and slowly working on my new setup. Things are going kinda slow. Here is the buildup so far:
Deck:
JVC KD-LH1100
I hate premade dash kits because they look awful and leave the radio just kind of hanging out. I liked the flush look of the OEM deck so I decided to recess the radio and then use bondo hair and made a perfect mold of the space. Great idea in concept but this particular execution of it came out like crap. I plan on making a foam based one and eliminating the stupid pocket above the radio. It's not the greatest deck for sound quality but it is intitivuive and isn't all that bad sounding.
Changer:
JVC X-200 12-disc
Mounted under the front seat making access to the magazine possible from the front seat. It's old as hell but to this day is still among the fastest 12-disc changers I've ever come across.
Signal processing / Eq's:
As of right now, nothing. I'll probably get the Audiocontrol EQX which functions both as an equalizer and active crossover.
Amps:
Going all MTX, because they are cheap and put out clean power (I've had them on a scope to confirm this). So far I have a 6152 2-channel. Going to power the tweets and midranges with it (using passive x-overs and zobel circuits to drop the system impedance to 4 ohm) I plan to get another one to power the midbass and a monoblock for the subs. Again, everything about the equipment isn't top of the line but I am going to make up for it by being dead on with the installation.
Front stage:
Vifa H26TG-35-06 Tweeters (Large format, horn-loaded) mounted in kickpanel
Vifa M10MD-39-08 midrange (4.5") mounted in kickpanel
Undecided on the midbass drivers. I got a pretty limited depth to work with and I would like to avoid modifying the door panels.
I am questioning my stage height in just preliminary testing so I think that adding an ambient tweeter in the a-pillars might be a good idea.
Rear fill:
Polk EX3 5.25 coaxial, Used rarely and will be powered by the deck when needed (rear passengers are present)
Subwoofers:
2 Alpine Type-E 12"
Box is going to be a Decware DBK-212 which is a special 4th order bandpass which has execptional clarity and hard-hitting transient response and on top of that, high output.

Video and games:
Xbox with 2.5" hip top screen pad for front passenger, 7" planned in the headliner for rear passengers.

Security:
Alpine SEC-8028
Added power door locks and wired to the alarm for keyless entry. I hate power windows with a passion which is why I opted for the cheapo manual equipment from the get go.
The alarm installation is... unconventional to say the least. For security reasons I am not giving away exactly how it is installed but I will say that you would render the car un drivable in over 3 ways in attempting to disable it. Assuming you can even find it.
Kickpanel Buildup:
My plan is to cover the grill with grill cloth and have it removable. The entire structure will be molded into the existing panel so no gaps will be seen throughout the piece. It will be covered in gray vinyl to match the interior pieces perfectly. My goal is to make the front stage look stock.
