The Engine is Rebuilt

After trying to get the engine started (with no luck) we decided to get the help of a professonal! The Mustang was then towed to Albrech's in Pleasant Valley, the engine was removed, and then shipped to Performance Unlimited in New Jersey. They are rebuilding and repainting the engine! It should be done in a few weeks. In the meantime I'm going to degrease and wirebrush the engine compartment. After which, I will prime it and paint it flat black. Here's some pic's of the car with the engine out!

All it needs is the valve cover :-)

Hey...Kenny here. Danes in Florida...so when he comes back he can correct anything I got wrong here...but anyway. Me and Brian took a trip to Albrech's and saw the engine which still isnt in the car :-(. It was in the crate though, so I took some pictures.

Looks like they packed it with the valve cover still wet...a few paint chips came off when the engine was uncovered today.

I took pictures of two holes on top of the valve cover..I dont know my engines very well but I'm guessing one hole is for the air in-take and the other is for the carburator.

Other than those chips, it looks like they did a very nice job. I was told by one of the mechanics there were a few bolts they had to break out because they were so rusted!!

I'm gonna see if I can go back when I have time to get a pic of the repainted (by Dane), empty engine compartment. Later!
