2007 Honda CR-V EX-L Navi
NEW GRILLE
I bought an extra grill from a guy on my www.crvownersclub.com forum and I started to give it my personal touch to get away from the "clones" out there.
Step 1 is masking off the painted area to prevent scratching the paint.
Several small screws hold the chrome part on the grille shell
After removing the H I cut some gutter mesh ( Home Depot $2) to size and then contoured it to the grille shell with a ball ping hammer.
Here you can see the contours of the grille and the same screws that hold the chrome on were used to hold the new mesh on the new grille.
Here I used chrome door edge trim to trim the mesh part of the grille to smooth it out and give the OEM look.
Here is the rough grille put together. Time for detail work.
I primed the grille background flat black and the parts going red with grey primer.
With the parts painted its ready for reassembly.
Tah Dah!
Now reinstall the grille back on the "V"

It's Muffler Time (That's the name if the muffler shop)

Flowmaster 40 series with stainless steel tip.
Luckily, he can weld thru the holes in my wheels, hahaha.
Sounds awesome, not too agressive cept when it counts. I didn't want the angry hornet sound so I went with a Flowmaster instead of a ricer muffler. I had to take it back because the hanger was tapping the hitch at idle. They fixed it and it sounds great now!
