2007 Honda CR-V EX-L Navi
SOUND SYSTEM
Nicho from NCA hooked me up.

It was not that hard to install. I just hope my wife does not see the taken apart pictures, lol.

I added a center console to house the new DVD Player.

Here is the screens playin. I think that is National Security playin.

Altogether price was $450. Not bad since the screens were $399 retail and the DVD player was $200.
NCA Hooked me up again so I updated the DVD player to a JVC.

I have also added a set of Memphis Car Audio 3 way 6x9s for a better Theatre sound in addition to the Memphis Car Audio tweeters in the dash, 6.5s in the front and back doors when watching DVDs.

I am re-wrapping the Probox in Black carpet so it will match the Honda interior.

I went with the Probox so that with a few bolts I can remove the system if needed instead of a custom fiberglass box that is more permanent.

It did not rain today so I went ahead and took off the tan carpet and re-did it in black.

The Probox contains one Memphis M3 Mojo 15 running off two Memphis 1000.1 monoblock amps. I am running 1000 watts per voice coil, so 2000 watts to the one 15 inch Sub. A Memphis 16-MCA300.4 amp run the 6x9s and the door component speakers. Memphis Zero guage wire and an Optima Yellow Top powers the system

12.2 INCH SUNVISOR SCREENS
I got these off Ebay and I am really impressed by them and the video quality. I can chose from 3 different screen sizes on each monitor. It has 2 video plugs so I can hook up my Navigation or back up camera to the visors as well. Installation was simple and about 15 minutes. Hardest part was finding schematics for the airbags and sensors to route around them so they are still funtional.
My package from Japan

Awesome wide screen monitors,Video signal booster, 2 remotes, wiring harness, and mounting brackets.

I like this feature on the screens. I can watch it on 3 different settings, right side , left side and wide screen.

I went ahead and made me a smaller console for the DVD player and the Memphis Cross-over. I had the other one out to wrap it with vinyl so thats when I decided to simplify it and make it smaller.

I got another amp, this one is a third Memphis PR 50W X4 Four channel amp to run my Four tweeters up front.

I added some flare to my Memphis Amps. I had some cheap Carbon Fiber decals laying around so I spiced up the amps.

Tah Dah! Custom CF Memphis amps, hahaha!

I am working on a new box set up. I have ordered the supplies and I should have a mock up of the fiber glass set up. I am then wrapping it with Carbon Fiber.

I have already cut the new floor of the box and began the mock up before glassing it.

New floor

First mock-up

Sub box cut out
Back wall panel ( 5/8" MDF) and box build and counter-sunk in to the spare well.

Front panel on box with Factory shelf

Top shelf and sides in place made of 3/4" MDF.
The woofer ring is just a temp until I can cut another one for the MOJO. Its bigger than a regular 15. That pretty much all the box fabbing, now its time for the Fiber glass molding I can adjust the inside walls to the correct air space when I hook the system back up.

2 Small amps where they are going to go.
I almost forgot, I drew like 4 different lines around the cut and wrote "this side up" with the arrow pointing down, and other "mess ups" like that cause my Stereo guy asked how it was coming along and I said I will come up and show you. And he had a fake smile like, ok....,when he seen it and I finally told him I was kidding and he busted out laughing. You had to be there!
The beast, lol, I am updating this woofer as well.

After I get the fiber glassing done, I will start on the Carbon Fiber.

Got some work on the woofer ring done and some fiberglass bracing with more braces needing to be done.

The dark brown part is the template that the fiberglass will follow.

I wrapped the floor panel with carpet and the rest of the box is finally ready for fiberglass.

he finished product is going to look something like this but in carbob fiber instead of the yellow color.

Got my Carbon Fiber in, and I can't wait to see it on my box. I only got 3 yards for now until I get the hang of working with it and I am getting more.

I had already made the new plates for the 6x9 to go in the side cubby holes and they will get wrapped with CF as well.

Car accident has had my speaker box project on hold. The CRV is in the shop with the box in the trunk. (Dec 2, 2009) After the accident, I had to have injections on my back where I had ruptured discs and my back is doing better now, and the box is back on track. It should have updated pix soon and the project completed by the end of the year.
