Ready for Take 2
I could not live with a Nitro. It just was not me. I went out and found the same car as this one. 2005 Dodge Magnum. It is even the same blue. Minor loss to trade in the crappy Nitro but its all good, I got me hemi back and all of the extra's that I wanted to buy in this one but didn't have the money to pay for. :) Things do happen for a reason. Stand by, a new page dedicated to my NEW used Magnum coming soon.
It is hard to believe I sold the Magnum. But there I was in the Dodge dealer and looking at a new Charger or 300 or Aspen or Nitro and realized that I wasn't getting all I wanted out of the magnum so I decided to trade it in. Now the problem is what do I buy. I looked at every car on the lot. It was going to be a Dodge! Lifetime powertrain? Come on, how can you beat that?
So after long deliberation I decided that the 300 and Charger are the same thing only newer and I wanted something different.
So, It was going to be a Pacifica or Nitro. The Aspen was nice too but I wasn't ready for the large family wagon type SUV. The Pacifica is already one of my favorite rides from Dodge (non performance) but I had not driven the Nitro yet. Even after 4 hours at a dealer on Saturday.
So Monday after work, I went to my local Dodge dealer and found the Nitro R/T that I liked, so off to the showroom to find a willing salesman to let me take it for a ride. Not a hard task.
So after introductions, Charlie took me for a ride, first in the Nitro then to the bank. (not really but it sounded good) With my discount at Snap-on and a bit of negotiation I kept my payments exactly were they were and got a brand new toy.
Since this is the page for my Magnum I will continue this on the Nitro page. I need to get some pics up so be patient, its raining here and water drops on a black SUV just don't cut it.
Not Too Bad for a Detroit Rod!

My first new car since I moved to Fla. They are just so bad, I had to have one.
Between that and momma let me. :)
I guess I drove it for about 2 years before I decided to change it up a bit. I first added a K&N filter for the deep throaty WOT sound.

Although it sounded better at Wide Open Throttle, it still needed a better tone so I decided to change one more thing.

Before!
Then we put her on a diet--

lots of wasted weight removed here.
Below you can see the difference in size.

Take it from me, the new FlowMaster system is considerably lighter, and much better sounding.

Much Better!

Not a bad Ass, if I do say so myself.
