my 1999 mazda 121 1.3L manual. i bought it from a guy who was selling it for his mother in law.. who would have guessed (hahaha such an oldies' car)
but yeah pretty low k's.. a few dings and scratches.. but its cool
i love the headroom (being a giant kid) and the fact that it can hold 4 more of my massive mates (strugglin to move with its 1.3l engine.. but it goes good)
you wont believe how much shit i copped when i bought it.. "thats a homo car.." they would say.. or "nice car... fag!"
but i brushed off the criticism knowing that there is an animal waiting to be unleashed from within this unsuspecting quiet achiever..

so my no.1 priority is to put in my sound system crap.. which isnt actually that good but will be more than adequate in this puppy..
so im gona make myself a sub box to fit my sub, amp, 6x9s... it should be pretty kickin.. but my main aim is not to take up too much space in the back coz i still need to carry shit for work.. but ill make it sit right back against the back seat and under the parcel cover so i can cover it when i park to prevent vandalous youths..
i also wana put in some 6inch speakers x 4 in the doors front and back with my pioneer head unit should be ok..
most of my speakers and crap are stuff i already had so i wana recycle it as best i can.
>>>>>>>>> haha.. i built my box this weekend and im pretty happy with myself.. it didnt take as long as i thought it would (the hardest part was cleaning up the mdf dust everywhere).. so i got a few pics of the finished product.. chek it out..

this is all the shit in the metro.. and its good. ive never had a system in a car and i dont think ill ever go back.
it wasnt hard to wire it all up.. the head unit wiring was a bit tough coz the colours were so random.. but i got it eventually
it fits nicely under the roll out shelf also for a bit of piece of mind when i park my car that it wont all get stolen..

haha.. nice and keen.. im pretty sure the speakers in the doors are 6 inch but i put in pioneer ones and the screw holes didnt meet so i had to do new ones anyway.. they seemed pretty snug. before you attack you have to take off the window winder handle which has a horse-shoe shaped pin around it.. i had to push in the panel around it while i used a long flat head screw driver to push off the pin ( it was a bitch to get back on though..) then u just unscrew around the door (2 or 3 screws) and one inside the handle and one in the other handle thing on the 'arm rest'.. and then there are some like press stud things that u just pull off (dont worry u wont break it..) hope that helps.. pretty easy really.. im not too sure but the guy i bought it off had it registered as a 1.3L..? j

hey nice car, i was looking for exact looking car, but in QLD:( Just have a question to ask as Im planning already lol. Is the speakers in the door 6" or 6.5"? Do you just unscrew the door to acess the speaker?

oh btw are u sure your car is 1.3L? If u have a tacho and those style hub caps, its a 1.5L i think.

bye
