Nalle Ltd. Cobra Daytona Coupe Kit with the LS1 motor

Valerie280's 1977 Datsun 280Z

This is a Nalle Ltd. Cobra Daytona Coupe body kit. This kit is based on a Zcar's chassis. You can't find these kits any where any more but if you do, please shoot me an email. We just got the car from the paint shop. We are beginning to putting everything back on the car. Hopefully, we can complete it to the point we can take it to the convention in Flordia.

A few pictures of the Cobra at the Daytona International Speedway.

We just put on 2400 miles on this car just this past week. The engine ran perfect. We took it to the road course and drag strip. My friend's first attempt ran 13.68s in a 1/4. With an experience driver this car should be in the 12s. There were a few minor issues that we've found and corrected. We will be upgrading the Ujoint axles to CV very soon.

Here are some pictures of Glen's Cobra. This is the same kit as the one we have but Glen heavily modified his kit.

After I finished the exhaust, I reallized it was too low. I had modified the exhaust, notched the frames and raised it up. The car now has a good 3 to 4" clearance from the ground.

Things to do:
1. Replace rear end
2. Replace driveshaft bolts
3. Install heat shield for the FPR
4. Check the gas tank vent tube.

Here are some nice photos:

We are in the process of putting the AZC brakes on the car. Also new suspension will go on the car. New windshield, back window seals and the carpets have been ordered. We will be installing the rear disc brakes on the car also. The seats will come next and some work on interior. Lots of work required and we don't have enough time but we are hoping to make it to the convention.

As always, I appreciate you stopping by to check out the car. Please feel free to leave me some comments or ideas. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy the works...
