Here's the latest member of our fleet, a 1988 Honda CRX HF. For a car with 201,000 miles on the odometer, it's especially clean. Even the paint is original. The engine, however, is not original, as the fuel-sipping 1.5 has been replaced with a B16A twin-cam VTEC.

The car is going to be prepped for NASA track events, and the process will be covered in future issues of Grassroots Motorsports magazine as well as on our Web site: GRM Online
We'll keep you updated here as well.

Update Sept. 12:
The car came on some totally used-up tires. We don't even think they were round. Anyway, they have been temporarily replaced by some 15x6.5-inch Rota Circuit 8 wheels and Toyo Proxes T1-S tires. Much better.

A lightweight Braille battery, Nitto race tires and Sparco steering wheel are also on order.
Update Oct. 26:
Car now has its Braille battery. It started on the first try, and you can read more about it here: battery installation
