Hello boys and girls! It has been a long while since I have updated my ride, so here goes!
I have many things to add and delete but this page will be for my new exhaust. I have swapped out the Flowmaster catback for a GMMG chambered catback exhaust. Here is a pic:
This is one of the meanest sounding exhaust you can put on an LS1 powered vehicle! I absolutely love it. As you can see, I bought it used and had to do some work on the intermediate pipe to make it round again for installation but was pretty easy to do. Pop and I got it ready then I had an exhaust shop put it on for me.
Next up, I finally ditched the stock manifolds and restrictive cats and y-pipe. In their place, I purchased a set of 1 3/4" inch emissions equipped Kooks Long Tube Headers along with their catted y-pipe. here are some pics:

Again, I got a really good deal on these used as well. The GMMG I picked up for $600 which costs around $900 new with the tips I got. The Kooks system I got for $850 which costs around $1500 new. Both of these products are made of stainless steel so no need of worrying about rusting out! I installed the headers and y-pipe myself in Pops garage last weekend. I tried to take pics of the process but I was doing all the work myself and was so wrapped up in the process I kept forgetting to take em and also my hands were always so grimey I didn't want to get it all over his camera! :) I have a pic here of the car up on ramps (rear) and jack stands (front)
I will take some more pics of the installed parts from the engine bay and from under the car and add them later. The process of installing the headers/y-pipe was great! Very intense and frustrating at times but overall a great experience. Not to mention way cheaper than taking it somewhere and paying someone to put em in!! I need to buy/borrow a video camera and get some sound clips for ya'll to hear! It sounds incredible! A lot of people don't like the combo of GMMG and longtubes but I love it! At idle it just sounds cool, nice little rumble. Throw some revs or put your foot to the floor on take off and it roars to life! Here is a thread I made at LS1tech describing some of the install process http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1011447
As promised, here are some pics of the installed headers and Y.
