Hello boys and girls.
well, another weekend has come and gone, which means it is time for Johnny to post pics of his latest project! This week we discard the factory rear control arms, seen here:

And replace them with some UMI tubular pieces, seen here:

They look much better don't they? We also will be installing the relocation brackets shown on page 5 along with some UMI tubular sub-frame connectors, seen here:

Installation is pretty straight-forward for these parts. The trickiest part was cutting the parking brake bracket and drilling a hole to put a bolt in to secure it afterwards. I didn't take step by step pics as I was doing most of the work while pop tinkered with his Vette :) So, here are some pics of the finished project.

This is about it for projects that I feel confident in doing in pops garage. Next on the hit parade I am going to drive to VA and pick up a Vigilante 3200 stall torque converter. The car will be taken to Tick Performance in Mooresville NC for that installation. Which will be the first of many such trips to Tick. I will use them for all my go fast stuff, IE; heads, cam, headers, etc. etc.
As always, thanks for checking out my lil ol bird!!
Here are some pics of the aforementioned vig 3200 stall:

Picked up a new rear center panel for the Bird this week. A guy on ls1tech custom paints these any way you want. I chose to just get the firebird without Trans Am or WS6 text on it since I have removed all the other badging. The color of the bird is chameleon silver and will look really nice when someones headlights are hitting it.
