Hello everyone
My father and I spent the weekend replacing shocks, springs, rotors, and brake pads on the WS6. It was a lot of fun, except for a problem with the floating pins on the front caliper brackets. Although that was a pain, everything else was piece of cake and a great way to spend the weekend hanging out with the "old man". Most of the pics are of the work with the front. I had forgotten my camera but finally realized I could use his. So on with the pics!
we started with the drivers side front and after jacking up the car and putting down our jack stands started turning wrenches.

Cleaning the upper control arm and how can you take off and put back on bolts, nuts, etc. without a handy dandy coffe can to put them in so you don't lose them? :)
Here are the new pieces to put on
Here is where we ran into trouble, the frozen pin and the torn boot that caused the rust and corosion.

Here are the old rotors. the close up pic of the single rotor shows the crack, upper middle section.
Here is pop's Vette, sittin there all jealous from lack of attention! ha ha

Here is one of the factory WS6 spring/shock and the passenger side spindle assembly
New shocks/springs
New rotor

A couple of close ups of wheels and rotors
And now the finished look! :) I love the new stance and the chrome rims look way better than I thought they would with the pewter color. I had intended to go with black rims with some chrome but got too good of a deal on these to pass up. So, whatcha think???
almost forgot to do a before and after
