Time to re-arrange my audio page! I have begun yet another transformation on my Trans Am. I swear sometimes I wish I were addicted to drugs instead of car audio and car performance!!! :)
System as it sits right now is:
Eclipse 7200MKII head unit
Rainbow Platinum CS275.28 components ran active off of the 7200
Phoenix Gold Xenon X200.4 4 channel monster rated 200watts per ch! channels 1&2 on the tweets and ch 3&4 on the mids
FI Audio Q 12 x 2 in a ttop well box
Phoenix Gold Xenon X1200.1 rated 1200 watts at 4,2, or 1ohms
The Rainbow comps were way too big for the stock location plus I needed to improve this area of my install anyway so I found a shop to help me out. I met Joey at Audio Illusions in Hickory NC through the DIYMA web site. After a few forum conversations and a phone call, I drove to Hickory to check it out. Turns out, Joey is the MAN! When it comes to fabrication and installation, I am convinced there are none better. He took my door panels off, checked out everything and came up with a strategy and quoted me a price. I was impressed and I believe my exact response was "Hell Yeah!!!!" :) Here are some pics:

All of those pics are the process of designing a template for the door and the mdf rings to attach the speakers to and some test fitting to make sure there was still clearance. Next, the baffles were treated with resin for sealing and then they received a layer of Second Skin Damplifier Pro. After installing into the doors they received some silicone for more protection. Here are pics of the next steps:

I still need to take some pics but the tweets are in the stock tweeter pods in the door panels. Everything turned out FANTASTIC!! Joey does great work and is a surper nice guy. I am already planning on the next step; going back down to 1 sub in the hatch and getting the amps off of the gas tank ledge and into the well for a more stealth look. Here is the amp rack and sub set up for the moment(actually, the 4ch in the pics is the Zuki not the PG)
