So I finally got another Camaro. It took a while to sell my GN, but I got good money for it, and I know it went to a good home where it'll be well taken care of. I picked up the Camaro on August 26th, 2007, and trailered it home. I nicknamed it "The Ghost" because its sort of the ghost of my first car, a 1977 Camaro Type LT. It'll never suffer the same fate as my first Camaro though (scrapped it).

It's not fast by any stretch of the imagination, but for a mildly modified car, it goes OK. With the Quadrajet and its vacuum secondaries, it actually gets decent gas mileage. The best parts about it are that its a 4-speed car (Borg-Warner Super T-10), and its got a '70 Camaro 12-bolt rearend. I've never had a manual trans car before, and now I know how fun it is to drive a hot rod with one! As for the 12-bolt, I knew that I'd eventually be putting a lot of power into the car, and would probably put one in anyway, so that saves $$$ from buying a Moser rearend. Also, it's 99% steel (no filler except for a little on the lower rear valence!), which is good because I HATE doing bodywork, but I've always wanted to try painting a car. This one will be something other than white. I'm all but sold on a dark metallic green ('69 Camaro Fathom Green or '71 Firebird Brewster Green) It'll be my first time painting a car, but I've always wanted to test my hand at that.
