New Hood and a question...

After needing a new hood thanks to a hail storm I bought a VIS "STi style" carbon fiber hood.  I assumed the scoop would be the size of the STi scoop, but it's substantially taller.  So my question is: Do you think it's too tall?  Here's a couple pictures of the new hood, I've only had a chance to snap these couple quick pictures, I'll try to get better ones up later, until then let me know what you think:

Overview

This is my 2003 World Rally Blue Pearl, Subaru Impreza WRX. I bought it new in November of 2002, and at the time promised my wife that I wouldn't do any mods until the warranty ran out. Well, wouldn't you know it, a month before the warranty ran out we found out we were pregnant and there went my disposable income (not that I mind). So, I've slowly been modding the car since then as I've had a little bit of cash, and as stock parts have needed to be replaced.
