DUCATI 750GT. The first of the legendary bevel twins
This is a 1974 model and although it is a vintage bike it handles well even by today's standards. The acceleration is nothing too amazing by today's standards but this bike has turned a 13 second 1/4 mile @ 103 mph which means that at least gets out of its own way. The front brake on the other hand is all 1974 and is really bad by today's standards, lacking in both power and feel. Some how the rear brake manages to fully deserve to be called adequate.
I got this bike from the original owner, a good friend of mine and certified Ducati mechanic and certified Ducati nut also. * Thank you Bob for choosing me to let have your bike. I know it wasn't easy to part with. I promise to take good care of it. *
Highs: classic looks, excellent hangling for the time, and great music from the Conti mufflers.
Lows: Well, it is an old bike. Oh yeah and like all old, European bikes, one must learn to shift with the foot usually used for the brake, and brake with the foot usually used for shifting. note to self: try to avoid panic situations and be carefull when going back to driving the late model Ducati next page is the late model Ducati 900ss/sp
