1996 VSII Berlina 5ltr

Hi guys, this is my VS Berlina 5ltr. I bought it in November last year and had plans for it which I still haven't got around to doing. Apart from fixing a few minor problems, its exactly how I bought it. I've always loved the old Aussie 5ltr; who cares if its a pushrod, cast iron lump, it sounds the way a V8 should and they can be damn quick when worked.

When I was younger I wanted a VS HSV so bad, so I guess this is the next best thing. Its by no means the quickest car around, but it doesn't go too badly either. Extractors and a 3.45 LSD should make a decent improvement, only problem is a lack of $$$...
My plan is to make it into a comfortable highway cruiser with a bit of grunt.

Engine
5ltr V8
HSV Knock sensor and chip
K&N Pod filter
2.5" catback exhaust

Driveline
4sp Auto with trans cooler
3.08 live axle diff (non LSD)

Body
Rubens red mica duco
S pack boot lip spoiler
VT clear side indicators
Colour coded handles
"Holden Berlina" badges deleted

Wheels and tyres
18x8" BBS RX rims
Silverstone 235/40R18 rubber

Suspension
Front - Monroe GT Gas struts, FE2 springs and swaybar, Noltec bushes and swaybar endlinks
Rear - Monroe GT Gas shocks, Kings low springs

Stereo
A pretty good one, no subs either (just the way I like it).

So far I've spent nearly $2000 getting it up to scratch, so now its time to save up for some mods.

Future mods
Extractors
Delete rear muffler
3.45 LSD
VS Clubsport or Senator seats
Retint the rear window
Rear window venetian
Paint and fit SS front lip
Thicker front swaybar
HSV bonnet and boot badges (tacky I know)
Fix sagging rooflining

Or save my cash and buy a 215i Senator or GTS.
Or an R32 GTR ;)
