So I'm just trying to keep this updated as much as possible. The car is running amazing!! Since It got put on the road back in October. I've been slowly getting everything to work on it. Everything but the boost solenoid for the wastegate is working under the hood. It doesn't allow it to boost past 7psi. But I'm working on that. I just had the intermit wiper module and the actual switch on the steering column go out. but it was no big deal. Now everything works but the DIC. And Its been a Chrysler discontinued part for many many years now. So I don't know what to do about that. It handles great in the snow. Alot of that has to do with the tires I have on it. Mastercraft Avenger G/T's. We sell those so it was an obvious choice. They're even more amazing on dry roads. I ended up printing out my invoice for the parts. everything came to only $1,120. !!! Parts only! So I think this is going to be a great car for many years to come. Be good to it and It'll be good to you right? lol.... I still plan on keeping everything totally stock. the only thing I may possibly do is do a bigger exhaust. But I don't want a Ricer exhaust!! This car doesn't deserve that. I'll just throw in a high-flow Muffler from Magnaflow or something. I can't believe how deep and throaty the stock system sounds. I love it!

So I finally got the car running. Luckily I get killer deals on parts. Or this car wouldn't be worth it. I pulled the head off thinking it was just a blown gasket. When I was loosening all the headbolts the bold just behind cyl#4 was broke right off!! I just had to think to myself.. "oh shit...!!". But i got lucky. I continued to pull the head off and the end that was broke down into the block was right there. It stuck about 1/8 inch out. So i then drilled and extracted it. Got busy at work so i did't have time to just throw it back together. One week later i spent a saturday and got it running. It sounds like a dream! So I took it for its first carwash and full tank of gas in ten years. Got back dried it then went to take it on the freeway. Man what a screamer! Arrived back at my shop and there sat a huge oil puddle.. :/ . It first looked like trans oil because it was so dirty. but i figured out it was a small leak in the brittle oil sending line to the turbo. So when i fixed that i put an oil cooler in! And it was dirty becuse of all the old dirt and crap that it was leaking on.
Now the car just runs sweet! I love it! So all that it really needed was a new set of tires. I retrofitted the A/C. I redid the break job. Pads and shoes resanded and rotars turned. Headgasket kit. New headbolt set. Fuel pump. Oh and It does need new front struts. They're kinda locked up... It feels like i am driving my goKart again with no suspention.. haha...
.. .. one head please.. ..
.. . .. Backside.. . .
.. . . and ready to be stuffed back in the hole.
.. . well isn't that clean...
(in song please.. ) "one of these is not like the others." yup. thats the culprate.. The reason the headgasket failed. The headbolt left of #4 cyl busted off in the block. And appeard to be broke for a very long time.
.. .. pieces... ..

I just bought it from the original owner yesterday! He gave me all the service records and the odometer slip that read 141 miles! It has sat in his backyard for over Ten years, and has 86k original miles! He has started it at least twice every year. But we went to start it the day I took delivery, and we had to go ghetto about it and spray gas down the intake while we moved it so the tow truck could come get it. So it does have a fuel pump issue and it needs a radiator. And possibly a head-gasket. But nothing too bad. Not something i can't pump out in a weekend anyway. I'M STOKED!! It'll be crusin' in no time!
Below are the pics of where it has sat for the last 10 years. From somewhere around winter time in 94'. Till September of 07'. And yes I know that isn't 10 yrs. It was still drivable. But when you would let it warm up it would gush coolant out of the blown headgasket. So he moved in 97' and drove it to his new residence. And it just sat.... MDH 62022 <-- (For those of you who don't know what "MDH" means. Its a Chrysler thing they've done for years. Stands for Month, Day, Hour. You can find out down to the hour your Chrysler car was rolled off the line! Mine. June 20th in the 22nd hour in 1986! It can be found typically in the lower left of the VIN sticker inside the drivers door.)
And this is the first time it saw a street in about 10 years!!. Just waiting for the tow truck to get'er!
