Its been way too long since I've updated. Nothing has really changed but I got the lower front spoiler all fixed and installed! And added an extra air dam that totally makes huge difference on freeway driving.

Meet today! I talked my cousin into buying one of these things! Its an 86 Chrysler Conquest! And its super clean! But it won't pass emissions. I brought it into my work to see what was up and everything we tried did nothing. Finally decided to compression check it. It was depressing.. :( They were 60, 25, 50, 50. Spec is 114-142! It was a wonder it even ran! So we're on the look out for a replacement that I'm going to build for him.

My car and I had a flash back last night.... Suddenly we were driving on a dark and winding road.. And it took me to a Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer show!!!! w00t!! Alright Stop....... Collaborate and listen!!!!! Needless to say.. My louvers were a hit. I had chicks in side pony tails and acid wash jeans eyeing me all night.. Haha!!

First post of the new year!! My TD and I got to laugh together today... lol. I started it up in the a.m. as I always do a few minutes before I start my commute. Defrost on cuz its cold and icy here. Got in and switched it to the "Bi-Level" mode. started my drive and noticed some kind of air rush noise coming from the windsheild area when accelerating??!? Well what was happening is under ANY kind of boost the heater was switching the mode door from what I had it on to defrost!! haha! Its all vacuum controlled in this old thing :) . Everything still works besides that little annoying thing. Oh and I also noticed that I have a R/R wheel cylinder leaking... I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow!

I finally did something to it today. :) Not like anything needs to be done to it. It runs like new still. But I'v always wanted to change how I ran the oil to the turbo cooler through the ATF fluid cooler built in the radiator. I got a small radiator/cooler to mount in the front of the A/C condenser. Install went smooth, and looks way good. And its before the turbo. So its getting nice cooled down oil fed to it.

Monthly Dodge meet. Best one I think we've had. Not as far as car attendance goes. But I finally brought my BBQer. It was great.

Last midnight drag of the season. My friend with the duster only ran once and officials told him he couldn't run anymore. He upped his boost from 10psi to 14!!! And he was blowing alot of smoke out the exhaust. Still managed a 12.7. Officials say he sprayed the track with oil. But my other friend with the white Daytona didn't run at all. He was having way bad boost issues. It kept spiking to 28 psi and leaning out way bad! Its possible for him to run up to 30 but he hadn't tuned it yet. but my friend who has almost the same Daytona but in red ran. He babied it. Possibly because it is one of 10 PVP pilot cars (but so is the white one). He only ran a 16.5. we expected at least a 13 out of it. Oh well. Next season I expect to get in the high 14's with mine. Intake, +20's, intercooler, and stage 2! ... and hopfully paint :)... Here I come!!!
I now finally have an updated pic with everything mechanically done! Nothing is modified so its a very dependable ride for me. I would say that its 98% done. still have some minor oil leaks to take care of. I'm on the lookout for another TD so I can finally park this thing and do the intake mods and PAINT done!!!

Went to the race track tonight to support a friend who has been trying to get in the 12 sec 1/4 for almost 3 years now. Well, He finally did it!!
12.7 sec 1/4 in an 88 Duster!!
Also while your at it you should check out this vid. It was shot almost a year ago when the car was starting to get really fast! Lil' story behind it. It was my friend Cory in his White Daytona that is pretty built. Him and the Duster came across each other on the Interstate, and Cory was having a very hard time keeping up with this "ugly" duster!! He managed to flag him down and they talked a bit about it. Brent,Duster ower took him for a spin. In the video you really can't see much. The main focus was on the cluster. And for sound. The car was only set at 6psi. If it could gain traction it would probably do a 14 in a 1/4 at the time. Its pretty entertaining.

Here is a pic of us changing his drag radials back to street tires in the parking lot. Gotta support the TD crowd right. haha! I love these beautiful fast sleeper cars. My buddy that has that red Shelby Daytona has another white 92 IROC R/T Daytona the he will be racing this coming friday. He is expected to get in the high 11's !! :-O .

Can you say INSTANT DEATH TO A TD!! :-O . I had it up in the air on a hoist and noticed that the fuel line coming from the pump looked like this.
I did the fuel lines that come off the firewall to the fuel rail a while ago. But didn't do from the pump and the ones around the fuel filter. DONE!
And looks like a bee got in my way. :) . Its stuck in the trim around my window.

Surprisingly no pictures with this update! Hahaha! What can I say, I'm a camera whore... But I finally tackled my oil leak. Ended up not being a front seal. But a cam seal that popped half way out!! So I got the timing belt, cam seal, and a new water pump while I was in there. No more leaks!!

Haven't updated in a while. My front main seal is leaking pretty bad. Its funny though, I check my oil all the time and it doesn't seem to be loosing any. But you sure can't tell where I park it every night can ya... haha. While my tools are at home I might just do it tomorrow night.
Also haven't posted any interior pics in forever. So here's a few. These pics reminded me how badly I need to vacuum it out. But its still sexy lookin' in there!

Did my first official drag run! Bone stock it did a 17.1@80mph. And thats at 4500ft elevation.n=vids.individual&VideoID=38824275">Daytona 1/4 in car camera And here is a vid from the stands. Daytona 1/4 run from stands Nothing really to brag about. But hey, Its stock. Going to start modding it soon. First thing in order... INTERCOOL IT!.
My sis Flew in from Florida for the weekend and was able to watch me.
