SUSPENSION, CLUTCH, TRANNY, WIRING, AND...OH YEAH PUTTING THE ENGINE IN!
Well here we go doing all the things necessary to make this baby go and look good too. These first two pictures show the suspension upgrades we did. To the left you can see the no hop bars that were installed to keep the differential planted. The pic to the right shows the Eibach springs, chrome moly control arms, and the competition engineering adjustable shocks.

We decided that the wiring was a joke and tore it all apart as shown in the pic to the left, what a mess. We wired in warning lights for the oil pressure and water temp. We modified the gage cicuit to get the instrument lights to work properly, and rerouted all the firewall wiring in a loom to simplify everything and make it look tight. You can see the MSD 6AL ignition and the Blaster 3 coil in the second pic with some of the loomed wires.

Next is the flywheel, clutch, and bellhousing. The first pic shows the flywheel, the second the beefy clutch from Mcleod.

This is the SFI approved bellhousing from hell by Lakewood. This will retain any clutch explosions so I can keep the flywheel from sawing off my legs in the event of an explosion. You can see the dial gage we used to center it on the crank. We got it within 0.004" from center to help transfer load better and make shifts more easy.

Here is the whole works... the rat engine and the soon to be taco'd muncie 4 speed ready to be installed. The pic to the right shows the assembly being installed (it gave me goose bumps).

We could finally see the ride height with the extra 800 lbs in the front and the new springs and shocks as shown below. As you can see the front was lowered a lot and the 4" cowl hood was fit too. Looks ready to devour some victoms.

We just have a few things to hook up like the fuel system, hoses, and odds and ends. She should be running by this weekend so I will be having a permanent smile for the rest of the year.
