As if things weren't good enough, I got into a wreck the Friday of my Birthday back in November '04 heading to school. It really ruined my weekend literally. I guy in a minivan wasn't paying attention when he ran me off the road trying to get into my lane just as I was about to pass him up. I moved to the side to avoid a collision, slammed my brakes and skidded on the loose pavement into a brand new Cadillac that was waiting to get out of the parking lot. My sister was in the passenger seat and she hurriedly went out to the Cadillac to see if the driver was okay. I too did the same after turning off the pathfinder for preventative measures. The driver who ran me off the road slowly drove off into a parking lot and stopped waiting for what was to come. Going only like 25-30 miles per hour, I sure inflicted heavy damages on the Cadillac. My pathfinder too took the toll. Luckily no one was hurt. I only have Liability insurance and so my insurance is paying for the Cadillac I hit. The driver who ran off the road, recieved citations for no insurance and failure to display a valid driver's license. Because I did not come into contact with the careless driver. I am responsible for the incurred damages I inflicted. Also, as Defensive driving states, I should've takened the hit from the careless driver instead to try and avoid an accident to prevent further damages. I had to pay out of my pocket to get my Pathfinder towed home which came out to a total of $175.

I have been slowly putting back together my Pathfinder since the accident. Everything has gone downhill for me since the accident. I am no where near finished with my Pathfinder due to lack of funds because of the accident. These pictures show a time lapse as to what all I have done to it since the accident. At the time, I am piecing together my Solid Axle Dream and hoping I can make it a reality. It is all I have left. It is what keeps me going.

If you're wondering what I did with my wheels and tires, I have sold them along with countless other parts and bought a car since it has rendered my pathfinder undrivable...for now.

I bought new essential parts to get her running and well, got her running! It took a long time to get her started. She was sitting a long time bone dry and it was making all kinds of clanking and clacking that I thought she was going to blow up on me! It cleared after I revved her for a while. I got her covered up a little by beating up the fender somewhat straight and reattaching the hood back on. Then took her to the shop where she's been sitting. I started her up not too long ago just to keep the engine internals lubricated.
