I am 17 years old, and this is my first car. I got the car from my grandmother, who drove it to and from church every sunday. When she gave me the car last year, it had only 90,000 miles on the odometer. One of the first things that I had to do was get a nice sound system. I got two 10's(FREE!), two 12's($50), and a pair of Sony Xplod 3-way 6X9's($100). I blew my amp running the 12's with the 10's amp($250), but i am currently in the process of buying two new amps for both. I am now running this off of a stock deck, which i am also going to change very soon. After I got my subs, I had to upgrade the rubber. The skinny 14-inchers weren't doing it for me. I went to a rummage sale and picked up a nice pair of michelin z-rated 205/45 16's off of the rear of a 1996 nissan 300zx. The best part about this was that it cost me $2 for the pair. I picked up two 205/45 16 yokahama's at sears($110/tire), which is also where i got my chromes($850). The next modification that i did was the paint. Before, it was an ugly baby blue. I got it painted dark blue, and in the light, it hints at purple and a little bit of green($750). And i also had to get cool blue head lights($30). The most recent mod that i did cost me nothing, and looks nice. the twelve interior lights, i colored blue myself using blue pen ink from an art set. It looks pretty tight, and you can't beat the cost!! What I am looking to do next is clear out the corners and the parking lights, as soon as i can find a place with Bonneville parts. If anyone knows of a place, help me out, PLEASE!! pics coming soon. You won't be dissapointed. No rust bucket here. You can see the paint better. Damn Rusty Jones!~UPDATE 1-16-2003~I just made a custom grill for the bonneville. Thanks to TimSmooth for the idea. I never knew three bucks could go so far...Anyways, i didn't paint mine blue, like his. I used chrome. It looks COLD! I also just bought a set of three decals for my car ($25). One is a chrome "PONTIAC" sticker for the windshield, and the others are two small chrome pontiac symbols, which i placed on the rear triangular window. it looks nice.GRAND TOTAL SO FAR $2280~UPDATE 2-21-2003~I got my amp fixed! The tens work now. And finally! Pictures! More to come very soon. The backLike those rims!!!(Picture taken before custom grille and stickers)!!!!!UPDATE 5-29-2003!!!!!Now, I am in the midst of building a custom box for my twelves so they fit flush into the trunk. I am laying my 6X9's into the box so they fit flush as well. It is very close to being finished. After that is done, me and my friend (see page 3) are going to start building two seperate boxes for the tens, which will be placed where the jack currently is and on the opposite side. When it is all said and done, I will post pics. In case you're wondering, it cost me for the three boxes $20. Milage now= 110,000 milesUPDATES COMING IN THE SPRING, WHEN THE WEATHER ISN'T CRAP.
