This is my 1992 240sx coupe that I bought not to long ago. The old KA24 had rod knock, which is now out sitting on my garage floor. Now I have a JDM tight CA18DET.

I will be parting out my KA within next month, so if you need any parts, engine or tranny for relatively cheap send me an email. ttvines@yahoo.com

There it is

Yep it was rod knock on my 4th cylinder rod. When I took the cap off it didn't even have a bearing it was so bad. It was running straight rod on crank.

My crank and rod are screwed.

All that gray stuff in my oil pan is metal shavings, my whole engine is covered in it.

thanks for checking the page out. I just have one piece of advice the first thing i would do is get some new rod bearings or you will be going through this all over again as it seems to be the weak point in the CA motor. I just learned this from experience... ACL makes good ones i just got them from FRSport.com for pretty cheap. as for the turbo the t28 has a little more lag but its a BIG difference good luck with the project.
