new update october 11, 2007 -car sold years ago-
i might be picking up another 90 celica gt over the weekend. if i do, i'll add a link to a new page for it. it's red, and a liftback, just like this one was. we'll see how things turn out.

UPDATE march 22 2004. -CAR IS FOR SALE-

page 2 has the nitty gritty.

so here's the story. my first car was a 86 toyota celica st. i got it with 166k on it. it now has 235k i still own it. but around 2 years ago i decided to get myself another car. first i looked for a 86-89 supra or a 300zx, turbo in both cases. i was havin a hard time finding good ones close by without too many miles and being 5-speed. since i loved my celica, i decided to get another one, only newer, with less miles, and with a little more power. enter the 1990 celica gt. after searching months to no avail(everything was either an automatic, or an st) i traveled 4 hours to check out a 90 gt in cincinatti...looked good enough. i bought it.

the 90 celica gt came to america with an inline-4 2.2L engine with the code 5sfe. stock the car made 130hp 140lb/ft of torque. nothing to brag about, but it's fun. without the weight of a domestic that hasn't changed since 1969(sorry mustang owners...) and some great factory tuned suspension, the car is decently quick and also hugs corners very well.
