Here's my '88 Merkur XR4Ti...i'll update this page as it comes along :)
12-08-08: Just a few shots from this summer to upload...i rattle canned the stock rims black (not too shabby for spray paint huh!?) and rigged up the most white trash intercooler you've ever seen, but it works surprisingly well for how crappy it looks and for being in a terrible spot. It's on 17psi now and runs pretty stout. The bypass valve is now ran back down to before the VAM like it should be...the cheap check valve blowoff setup didn't last long.
Got some new pics to post up. I detailed the engine some and gave it a wax. At the time it still had the snow tires on it. Also did an LA3 ECU swap along with the big VAM to match. Enjoy :D
Got a few more pics taken today. So far i've gutted out the busted AC and non-working cruise control, and did a tune up with new plugs/wires, also replaced the valve cover gasket and gave it a fresh coat of paint while i had it off. Then i installed a Gillis manual boost valve setup and a K+N cone filter in place of the stock box. Also did a little cleaning on the turbo and removed the timing belt cover.

zerosports,
No, to my knowledge the paint is original, but don't be fooled it has chips and scratches pretty much everywhere. I use a dry carwash/wax stuff called Dry Wash N'Guard that will make pretty much any black car look fantastic from 10 feet away. I do think that someone may have painted the bumpers and cladding because they don't look "OEM" to me but this is how i got it. I bought it from a guy who got it from "two lesbians who parked it in a car port for 10 years" LOL
