Updates
February 21, 2007: I haven't updated this in a while, but this will be my final update. A couple of months ago I started a "part-out" process on the MX6. First to go was the motor, then the body kit and seats, and some other small parts. As of a few days ago, most aftermarket parts have been sold, and the car was towed away. I purchased a 2003 Chevy Impala back in November, and I needed to get rid of the MX6. I have no intentions of doing anything to the Impala. It's just a daily driver, and will remain stock. I would have loved to keep it and make a track car out of it, but I don't have the money to put into it anymore, and it needed far too much work to make it worth my while.
April 28, 2006: It was finally nice enough to do a "Spring Cleaning" on the exterior of the '6. 16 new pictures added to page 3 under "Newer Pictures". Plan to wax the car tomorrow. Will post pictures after the wax job as well.
April 21, 2006: Added a couple pictures of the seats and harnesses installed.
April 16, 2006: Installed passenger side seat, and Sparco 3 point harnesses. Pictures of seats and harnesses coming soon.
April 01, 2006: Installed driver side seat. Passenger seat will be installed sometime soon. Write-up on install available at www.mx6.com
March 28, 2006: Ordered Sparco 3-point harnesses.
March 23, 2006: "Turbo Project" section added.
March 18, 2006: Installed rear strut tower bar.
March 18, 2006: Installed Vacuum gauge
March 15, 2006: I've officially decided to start on a turbo project, which I will be piecing together over the next 5 or so months, and will install sometime hopefully in November. It will be a long, hard process, but before winter, my car should be boosted, running 5 psi. Here is a list of parts that I decided to go with for this project...Turbonetics T3/T04E-60 Stage III turbo, GReddy Type S BOV, Tial 38MM wastegate, OBX FMIC, GReddy turbo timer, Megasquirt, TW Motorsports hotpipes, Mandrel bent aluminum Intercooler piping, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, Autometer gauges.
March 10, 2006: Sold Autometer Phantom Boost/Vacuum gauge, and bought Autometer Phantom Vacuum gauge.
March 08, 2006: Finished installing headers, and installed AWR front motor mount. Pictures of headers and motor mount added.
March 07, 2006: AWR front motor mount, rear strut tower bar, and Bride Brix II replicas arrived. Pics of motor mount and seats added. New picture section "Uninstalled Parts" added.
February 28, 2006: SSAutochrome headers arrived. Pictures added. More pictures will be added once they are installed.
February 23, 2006: Ordered rear strut tower bar. Pictures will be posted as soon as it arrives and is installed.
February 22, 2006: New page layout. Hope the colors work well and it's easy to navigate! Feel free to leave feedback.
February 19, 2006: Ordered blue Bride Brix 2 replicas, AWR front motor mount, and SSAutochrome headers. Pictures will be posted as soon as they arrive, and are installed
