She was imported to the Netherlands by the company:

Huiskamp Carrosseriefabriek
USA CARS IMPORT
Winterswijk - Holland

The company still exists, but only as a chassis builder. I presume for trucks and special projects?

These cars are still pretty easy to find over here, but it's getting harder and harder to get one that is in fair shape! Most of them were used as taxi's which ran on LPG. (Liquified Petroleum Gas). A lot of dents, scratches and rust and not to forget the abuse on the exterior and interior.

She's fully loaded....

She has driven 246.000 kilometers (sorry, European car) sofar. That's like a walk in the park for an engine of this size!

I bought her intentially for every day driving, but after 6 months I grew more and more attached to her that I felt sorry for her to drive her in the rain and snow. She has done her time out there on those crowded streets. So now, she only comes out during the summer to visit meetings and events and other fun stuff....pretty laid back kind of a life I guess. Well earned.
