My most recent picture of my car..

evil_thomas5's 1989 Dodge Colt

Let's start from when I bought the car back in August of '02. It was from the worst part of town during construction of a stupid bridge that caused a 15 minute drive to be probably about 45 minute drive. But I had to have it.

Might as well fix that rusty bumper while I'm at it.

Old reinforcement and new reinforcement.

Current mods: - Panasonic deck 60X4 with every setting possible, 3 1/2 60 watt Phaze one clarion speakers in the front, 5 1/2 300 watt Alpine speakers in the back, 2 Alpine type R 12" subwoofers in a custom made Alpine box, hooked up to a 1000 watt (rms!) digital Alpine amp and a lightening audio capacitor..
- 85' colt turbo upper and lower rear spoilers, and sideskirts
- fiberglass front bumper, quite rare I believe.
- 17" rims with 205/40 rubber
- tinted glass
- NGK spark plugs
- Racing pedals
- "custom" short shifter
- 89 turbo guage cluster includes tach and turbo boost guage
- WRX hood scoop, molded into the hood
- Rear bumper from a Vestatec body kit, last one one available in the North America :p
- Rear wheel wells rounded and flared to look like the front
- shaved rear lisence plate lights, and relocation of the lisense plate into the bumper(keep it on the down low, not exactly street legal)
- Ultra Light fog lamps
- Mitsubishi badging

Future mods:
- G32B engine swap!
- purchased 2nd gen. bov and intercooler, just need to swap the engine and install em
- 2.5 exhaust

Definitely go with the 4g63t. There is sooo many options in aftermarket parts for that engine its absurd. I have a 93 Colt 2dr 5speed with a 4g63t running about 7psi and I still get 28-35mpg. There is so much power coming from the 4g63t it just ROCKETS a tiny little car. The 4g63t is plentiful just check out ebay, the hardest part for me was the AWD conversion but once I found everything I needed it only took me a couple months to throw it all together and have her back on the road. Good luck man

Hey Thomas. Nice job on your car! I used to have an 84 Colt Turbo. I may get another or a year like your's. Your year looks great with what you did.

I'm surprised how nice you got that thing look'n. Good job man, I just bought a 1990 for my wife and believe it or not, the little bugger impresses me, I'm just wondering if you cut the skirts off yourself, and how much work was involved to get that look on the rear well?
