July 2003, the Miataphiles of Toronto sent 26 girly cars to Deals Gap, North Carolina.
8:00 am drivers' meeting
We had some glorious weather on our 1,000 mile drive to The Gap.
...some liquid sunshine
But we made it to Tapoco Lodge, N.C.
and then got ready to drive Deals Gap
We were going to ride the dragon, 318 curves in 11 miles.
In preparation I mounted a fresh set of Falken Azenis on my new Enkei RP-F1's (custom finished in black metal flake with a polished lip). Thanks to Joe, Peter and the folks at R-Speed, such gracious hosts.
...... and adjusted my TEIN HA coilovers
Finally, I was driving The Gap.
Cool down time
We had ample opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow MX-5 owners, steal some ideas, swap some lies.
It was a gooooooood time.
