We recently moved to a home in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, the western most province of Canada. The garage renovation was my first major project. As you can see it needed some help.
There was a storage area at the back of the garage which I wanted to turn into an area for my tools and work bench. I figured if I knocked a hole in the wall it may look like a Parts Counter.
OK, that was cool, now how about some flooring? The concrete was stained but in relatively good (15 years old) condition.
After much cleaning and acid etching I laid down a coating of adhesive, worst part of the job.
I used Armstrong VCT commercial grade tiles. The pattern was deliberately chosen to hide any staining from our car tires, something that can occur over a period of years.
Add some new lighting, a couple coats of paint and voila! Notice my Parts Counter in the background?
I finally found a home for some of my race car memorabilia as well. This stuff just looks right in there.
Our Miatas in their new digs.
